I’m back. This last semester consisted of me putting my nose to the grindstone and not looking up until I was home free. Teaching for the first time is extremely time consuming! The semester taught me a lot about myself as a teacher, and I am looking forward to teaching two classes next semester. I do apologize for falling off the face of the Earth, but I am back now and intend to work harder on this website this year.
My hosting plan ran out earlier this month, but I had forgotten to cancel my automatic renewal on my domain name. I was frustrated by this oversight, and was intending on calling my domain provider until my husband asked me why I wanted to cancel the website in the first place. It’s amazing what a little support and encouragement can do. N inspired me to come back to writing, and I am so happy he did.
I decided to switch hosting providers, because I could not justify spending as much as Bluehost wanted to charge me to continue working with them. I jumped on a GoDaddy sale, which I am happy about because I now have hosting for a full year for $12! However, I messed up something as I tried to switch hosting, and all my previous posts and the wonderful comments from all of my readers are gone. While this is sad, I am also glad to start with a clean slate. I hope that those of you who were with me before will be happy with the new RSF, and I also hope that my new spurt of motivation, my new life lessons and new look will bring new readers to share ideas with me as we all strive to save some money in this very expensive world.
Later this week, I will work out a posting schedule so that everyone can know what to expect when reading RSF. I will also update everyone on my financial goals, which haven’t changed very much from my last post in January (which, sadly, is gone — but thank you for your support if you were reading with me then!).
I look forward to connecting with everyone again through the comments here, as well as on your wonderful blogs!
