This week was a little rough. Ironically, being on vacation made it harder for me to remember to update the blog with 3 posts this week. It was probably just the great fact that my husband was on vacation, and we had so much time to spend together!
This week was also really hard on the cash aspect. The restaurant I work at has been very, very slow lately. Between Friday and Saturday night, I only served 12 tables! Generally I serve 15-20 per night. As you can imagine, this has made a huge change in my income for the week — I’m sitting on a $100+ loss for the weekend. The restaurant business always fluctuates, though, so I know it’ll turn around. Did you have any setbacks last week? How are you handling them?
On the positive side, I found 14 new jobs that I am qualified for in the teaching industry. Some of them begin in January, but others begin as early as August. I will be writing cover letters non-stop for the next few days!
Additionally, a Call For Papers deadline is fast approaching for a conference I’d like to attend. To make my goal of proposing papers for 2 conferences this month, I really have to step up my game.
What are you plans for this week? How was last week?
